You can grab the electric spells Call Lightning (level 3) and Chain Lightning (level 6) by taking the air domain. In terms of metagaming, you'd be hard-pressed to come up with more than one absurdly specific scenario where a half-elf is better than a human since humans get much much better benefits, but do what you want. You'll end the game with access to 8th level spells (maybe 9th if you barely hit level 17), so you'll want to start with 15 wisdom as a bare minimum and take points on leveling.Īs far as race goes, it doesn't really matter what you pick. If you go pure Cleric, you'll be a little feat strapped if you want a real weapon, since you'll need to pick up martial proficiency - and the earliest you can do that is level 3. You'll have access to 6th level spells by the end of the game. Distribute the rest of your points however you want to shape your character. If you put your Wisdom at 14 and put points in it at levels 4 and 8 you will be perfectly fine. Fighter will give you martial proficiency and 3 bonus feats. I assume you want to play with a henchman, so you might end up around 15-16.Ī very very safe approach would be something like Fighter 4/Cleric 12. If I recall correctly, soloing the campaign will barely get you to level 17 near the end. If you know what you're doing, it's easy to solo the OC with one. With the buffs available to Clerics, it's pretty hard to screw one up. Remember to add keywords if your query is a specific one.
